FAREWELL TO ALICE

During this year the pupils in 5th and 6th grade have had the great opportunity to be assisted by Alice Ryan, a Scottish woman who has helped us improve our English.

We have had a fantastic time with her classes, full of games and enjoyment and, to say goodbye we handed her a book with our pictures and thankful comments and we were taken a picture to inmortalize this moment.

GREETINGS FROM TORONTO

HELLO EVERYBODY!

How are you?

I am very happy in Toronto. The lady I live with is very friendly and kind and she cooks very well. I live with two more students, one is from Japan and the other one from Brazil. In the morning, I go to the English academy from half past eight to one o'clock and in the afterrnoon, we have time to visit different places. I am working hard and I have to do homework everyday. Next week, I will go to a Canadian school to learn how they teach listening, speaking, reading and writing to students. I hope they behave as well as you. Next time I will send you some photographs.

GYMKHANA

Hello! We are two students of the 4th year of Primary.

Today, we have prepared the English class. In the classroom, we have done different activities in groups. And in the playground, we have done a gymkhana. Our classmates have been divided into two groups and they had to look for seven pieces of paper.In each one, they had part of a sentence and different activities to do related to what we have learnt recently. In some of them, they needed a dictionary. At the end, one of the two teams has found the prize and it has been shared with everybody.

HANDS

Students of the 1st year of Primary have done a poster with our hands. We have learnt the difference between right and left.

JOKES

Students of the 5th and 6th year of Primary have worked the content and the vocabulary of some short jokes related to animals, doctors and patients, teachers and students... They are some of the best ones although everybody knows that English humour is not very fun.

One balloon says to the other:

2. Patient: Doctor, I have a pain in my eye whenever I drink tea.

Doctor: Take the spoon out of the mug before you drink.
